Of the fifteen motions tabled only three received the approval of the 245 delegates present.

Motions lost:

*That the current rules for the regarding of players for Championship 2017 in both codes be replaced with the rules for the re-grading of players as they existed for championship 2015.

*Players are not graded for championship until after Round 2. First and second fifteens submitted for league are not permitted to play at the grade below for championship.

*That the Junior A and Junior B championship be amalgamated and run as Junio A championship at District level.

Winners qualify for county semi-finals. Where a club would have two teams in the competition, the 'A' team would play first and status would be determined as pertains at present in other grades of championship. Relevant rules/bye laws to be amended/deleted.

* That a players championship status in any given year be unaffected by his first appearance at a higher grade of championship in that year, if that appearance in the higher grade is as a second half substitute.

*The minor grade be changed to U-17 with all minor and adult competitions to be played simultaneously without effecting each other.

'That the county revert to the traditional method of appointing captains and vice-captains of all adult county teams.

'Only if the county champions have no representative on the team, management appoint the captain or vice-captain from outside the county champions.

Motions Carried:

*A minimum fitness level and exam result is set for all referees to determine which level of competition they are eligible to officiate. Same to be set by committee.
