Wexford booked their semi-final spot in Division 3 of the Lidl Ladies National Football league with a comfortable win over Down in Bellefield on Sunday afternoon last.

Anthony Masterson made several changes to his starting line-up but still saw his side streak 0-12 to 0-0 ahead at the interval, thanks mainly to four Catriona Murray points, an Ellen O'Brien treble and a pair from Kellie Kearney.

The lead had increased to 0-18 to 0-0 by the time Down finally troubled the scoreboard in the 46th minute. They added a late goal through Colleen Lennon but it mattered little in the end.

Wexford will travel to Roscommon in their final round-robin game next weekend before facing the same side in the league semi-final two weeks later.
