Wexford will spend another season in Division 1B of the Allianz League after going down to Waterford by six points in Innovate Wexford Park on Sunday, March 22.

They still have a quarter-final to look forward to next Sunday against Cork, with a toss to decide home venue.

Wexford lost their way between the 22nd and 31st minutes when they conceded six points without reply, going on to trail by 0-13 to 0-7 at half-time.

The margin was never less than five points thereafter, with Waterford staying comfortably ahead.

Scorers: Jack Guiney 0-6 (5 frees), Diarmuid O'Keeffe 0-3, Ian Byrne 0-3 frees, Liam Og McGovern 0-2, Padraig Foley, Conor McDonald 0-1 each.
