Bowls league news

It couldn't be any closer at the top of Division A in the Wexford bowls league, with three teams locked together on eight points after two rounds.

Gorey A (+11) lead the way from Oulart (-3) and Kilmore Seals (-6) by virtue of the best scoring difference, with a win and a loss apiece.

The other teams, New Ross Beta and Ballagh Black, have only played once, with the former on six points after a win while the latter gained two points in their defeat.

Turning to Division B, Bree have gathered 14 points from three outings, with unbeaten New Ross Alpha on twelve after two games.

Kilmore Gulls, Ballagh Red and Gorey B have all lost their sole encounters to date, leaving them with two points apiece.
