Enniscorthy beat Ross in Under-16 tie

Rugby: Enniscorthy 34 New Ross 15

The Enniscorthy Under-16 girls played neighbours New Ross on Saturday.

New Ross started very well and got their first try in the third minute.

Enniscorthy came back and within 15 minutes responded with a converted try.

A few minutes later Ross scored their second try.

The battle continued with great tackles from both sides.

In the 32nd minute of Enniscorthy scored again and also converted, leaving the score 19-10 to the Panthers.

The second-half witnessed a very strong start again from both sides, with quick hands and extra quick feet to match.

Enniscorthy scored their fourth try, and four minutes later Ross responded with their third.

The Enniscorthy girls proved too strong and scored another two tries to finish triumphant on a scoreline of 34-15.

It was a very exciting match. Well played by all participants on both sides.
