Fine fourth for Woodsmen

All-Ireland weekend took place in Donegal, and it was a very successful one for the Wexford teams.

In the All-Ireland counties competition, Wexford won 3-2 to capture another title. Well done to them!

Woodsmen beat Inishowen 'A' in the All-Ireland Club Division 1 final to complete the four-in-a-row, only needing eight marks in the final game.

In the Division 2 final, McCrea's beat Inishowen 'B' via three sevens. With it being all square after the three games, there had to be a tie-breaker and McCrea's prevailed.

Congratulations to both teams, with the Woodsmen showing their dominance again. Well done to them on living up to their tag of favourites.

Well done to McCrea's on their first All-Ireland club, winning in the closest possible way.

The All-Ireland doubles were called off due to bad weather.

Wexford League Division 1: Woodsmen, 21 points; Doran's Bridge 'A', 17 points; Monart 'A', eleven points.

Wexford League Division 2: The Ballagh, 13 points; Vinegar Hill, 12 points; Monart 'B', nine points; Curracloe, eight points; Doran's Bridge 'B', four points.

The McCrea's open doubles will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 3 p.m., while the league continues next weekend.

The Curracloe open doubles for the Allie Howlin Cup will take place on August 9 at 2pm.
