Furlong grabs fourth try
Tadhg Furlong made yet another impressive appearance for Leinster when introduced as a second-half substitute in their 22-13 victory over Cardiff in their Guinness PRO12 game in Cardiff on Saturday.
The Leinster squad endured a frightening flight on windswept Friday evening, having failed in two landing attempts at Cardiff before being diverted to Bristol where made a successful landing to everyone's relief.
Leinster produced yet another promising display following on from their victory over Ulster the previous week, with the win lifting them into the top two in the table.
Having being introduced as a 50th-minute substitute, Furlong made an immediate impact by getting in the tackles around the fringes, while also holding a solid scrum against the Welsh international front row.
He capped a fine performance with his side's fourth try, showing a fine line to take the crucial final pass before crashing over, ensuring his side earned a crucial bonus point.
With huge games coming up over the next three weeks, Furlong will be hoping that recent displays will push his claims for inclusion in the match-day squads for the European Cup.
He has certainly come a long way in sport since playing with the Wexford Under-14 hurlers.
