Wexford Town's Jack Robinson has been in impressive form on the colleges boxing circuit over recent months.

Robinson, now a student in D.C.U., came good last weekend when he lifted the Senior 69 kg. Irish Third Level Boxing Association's championship title in the National Stadium, Dublin.

The Wexford boxer, who formerly boxed out of Wexford C.B.S. but is now concentrating his efforts with D.C.U., turned in a hugely impressive performance in the final.

Up against U.C.D. student Seamus Lyons, Robinson won over the vote of four of the judges in taking a majority 4-1 verdict at the end of a closely-fought contest.

Winner of national titles at under-age level when boxing out of Wexford C.B.S., the Wexford town pugilist has now burst on the scene at Irish colleges Senior level.
