Rodney Goggins from the 147 Snooker Club in Wexford continued his dominance of Irish snooker when he won the sixth R.I.B.S.A. ranking event of the season, 'The R.I.B.S.A. Grand Prix', in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow recently.

In the final the Wexford man beat Brendan O'Donoghue from Nenagh by four frames to three in an exciting contest. The win is the Wexford man's third of the season, and he also lost two finals which shows the quality of the year he has been having.

The win puts Rodney further away at number one from the pack at the top of the Irish rankings. Rodney has been number one all the season and is guaranteed to finish number one for 2015.

Rodney would like to thank the 147 Club on the Main Street in Wexford for all their help, with free practice to prepare for events, and his coach, P.J. Nolan, for his guidance.

Rodney will be joined later in the month by team-mate Shane Bates as both will compete in the European championships in Malta when the Wexford flag will be flying high.
