Setback for Wanderers
Wexford Wanderers Under-17s, who went into the weekend pushing to make the league play-offs, faced Co. Carlow at Park Lane on Saturday in the second meeting of the sides in less than a month.
The visitors, who narrowly lost the previous encounter in the final moments of the game by 12-8, made sure they didn't suffer a repeat of the previous heartbreak.
They attacked the Wexford side from the off and this resulted in an early penalty followed by a converted try, setting the tone for the rest of the game.
After 30 minutes Wanderers managed to score a penalty before Carlow added another converted try to lead 17-3 at the break.
In the second period Carlow added a further two tries and a conversion before finishing the game with a penalty to win 32-3 in a game they dominated from the start.
