Triathlon Club race on Monday next
ONLINE ENTRY is open for the inaugural 10km road race to be staged in Rosslare on Easter Monday, April 5. Organised by Wexford Triathlon Club, the race will start at 11 a.m. and will involve two laps of the village. There will also be a children's race on the beach.
The main race is open to runners and walkers, as well as relay teams, while entry can also be made by post or on the race day itself. The children's race is free to enter.

St. Senan's A.C. will hold its annual open sports day on Easter Monday, April 5, at their sports complex in Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny. There will be track and field events for boys and girls from Under-12s to Under-17s, with events for Junior boys and girls also.
There will also be a 3,000m track race for Senior men and a 1,500m track race for Senior women. For more information, contact Bill Lacey on 086-8100299.
St. Laurence O'Toole A.C. will also host an open sports day at Askea in Carlow on Easter Monday, April 5, beginning at 1 p.m. There will be track and field events from Under-8s up to Under-16s, with relays also for Junior men and women (the field events will comprise long jump, shot putt and ball throw).

The next date for the Leinster and Dublin regional squad training sessions is Saturday, April 17, at Tullamore Harriers Stadium in Co. Offaly (registration from 10.30 a.m.).
Kilmore A.C. in conjunction with Athletics Wexford are holding a development course, starting on Saturday, April 17, and continuing on Saturday, April 24, and Sunday, April 25. The session each day runs from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The venue is Kilmore G.A.A. grounds.
The cost is ¤20 per person and everyone from Under-10s upwards are welcome to come and learn from some of Wexford's best athletes. The schedule of events is as follows: Saturday, 17th, hurdles with Bróna Furlong and distance running with special guest Deirdre Byrne; Saturday, 24th, long jump/triple jump with Antoinette Stafford and sprints with Kevin Cogley; Sunday, 25th, high jump with Sarah Shovlin and throws with Emma Owens.

Four S.B.R. athletes travelled to Dublin to take part in the inaugural Rás U.C.D. 5k road race on Saturday last, and all performed well. The race was held on a one-mile lap on the university campus, and a gloriously sunny yet windy morning greeted a 400-strong field.
Lahcen Aouissar led the Ferns team home, finishing fourth in 16.17. Next home was Paul Gibbons in 16.59 (who then finished fifth in 38 minutes in the Splashworld 10k road race the following day in Tramore), then Eugene Doherty with 18.40 and Paul Holmes clocked 19.08.
