Campile United close in on the title

CAMPILE UNITED are almost home and dry in Division 1 as two wins in the past week edged them ever closer to the finish line.

On Sunday they cruised to a comfortable success against St. Cormac's, winning 5-0 with doubles from David Shannon and Jim Wall and a goal from Paddy Murphy.

The previous Tuesday, the three points were harder to come by as they were made to fight all the way by Rosslare Rangers before coming out on top 4-3 thanks to another double from David Shannon, a Johnny Keating strike and an own goal.

Bridge Rovers also chalked up a win on Sunday, beating Wexford Bohs 3-1, while New Ross Town saw off Gorey Rangers 1-0.
