Cloughbawn in control

Division 4A

Cloughbawn continued their perfect start to their Division 4A campaign with a 4-2 over Enniscorthy United on Sunday.

Stephen Kennedy (two), David Doyle-Murphy and Pádraig Loughlin got the goals for the winners, with Seán Murphy (penalty) and Dylan Groarke replying for United.

Glynn Barntown leap-frogged Campile United into second place thanks to a 2-1 win over their rivals.

Shane Wilde grabbed Glynn Barntown's first goal when his strike deflected off a Campile defender and wrong-footed the goalkeeper.

Wilde then scored his second with ten minutes remaining to earn the hosts the points.

Wexford Albion earned the local bragging rights by seeing off Wexford Celtic 5-2, with goals from Mark Browne (two), Fran Hore, T.J. Cousins and Ciarán Carty.

Taghmon United hit Ballymurn for six, winning 6-0 thanks to a Stephen O'Gorman hat-trick and goals from Thomas Furlong, Stephen O'Keeffe and William Codd.

Elswhere, Dara Corrigan scored for St. Joseph's with the last kick of the game to earn them a 4-4 draw with Tombrack United. Pa O'Brien and Mikey Kehoe (two) got their other goals, with Kieran Kenny, Jamie Quinn and John Kavanagh (two) replying for Tombrack.
