Easter soccer camps

Four Wexford venues are included among the 130 countrywide that will be hosting FAI Soccer Sister camps during the Easter school holidays.

The events will take place in Duncannon, Rosslare Strand, Forth Celtic and Wexford Youths, with girls between the ages of seven and twelve years old from all over the country being invited to sign up and learn to play football like a Soccer Sister.

Each participant will receive a full Aviva Soccer Sister kit, including a limited edition jersey, a wristband and a football.

At the end of the camp, each girl will be presented with an official completion certificate signed by Aine O'Gorman, a member of the Republic of Ireland women's national team, and Sue Ronan, FAI's Head of Women's Football.

Meanwhile, one of the stars of recent Wexford Youths women's campaigns, Claire O'Riordan, made her first international appearance under new boss Colin Bell on Friday when the Republic of Ireland drew 0-0 with Hungary in the Cyprus Cup on Friday.

The Limerick native came off the bench in the 73rd minute as the girls in green continued their unbeaten run in the tournament.
