Five-star saints turn on the style

U-16 Premier Division: Ballindaggin F.C. 0, St. Leonards 5: St. Leonards are three points clear at the top of the table after overcoming Ballindaggin 5-0 in Ballycarney.

The visitors led 4-0 at half-time thanks to two goals each from Eimear Gabbett and Aoife Cullen, with Jennah Molloy scoring in the second-half to secure all three points.

Forth Celtic 1, Bunclody A.F.C. 1: These sides are also well in contention for the title and played out a very hard-fought, competitive encounter, with both scoring late to earn a point each. Lauren McLoughlin gave Forth the lead with eight minutes remaining but their lead was shortlived as Niamh McHugh replied 90 seconds later to bring the sides level again.

U-16 Division 2

New Ross Celtic 0, Wexford Youths 6: Despite being still mid-table, Wexford Youths are well in contention for honours as they overcame New Ross Celtic 6-0 to record their second win of the season.

Aliat Kotun scored a hat-trick for the visitors while Kiera Payne added two, and Gráinne Ní hAilín also got ther name on the scoresheet.

Moyne Rangers 6, Arklow Town 4: The home side are looking very strong in this division at the moment but had to work very hard to overcome a hard-working Arklow Town side who led 3-1 at the break.

Molly Gartland, Ella Jenkinson, Holly Jenkinson and Aida Ubernaviciute were all on target for the visitors, but four goals from Amy Shannon and two from Shanise O'Reilly gave Moyne their sixth win of the season.
