Gorey trio retain Irish Under-16 places
FOLLOWING TWO days of trials at the A.U.L. Complex in Dublin, Ireland Under-16 international soccer manager Tom Mohan has selected his final 18 to represent Ireland at the Macron Galway Cup to be played at Salthill Devon F.C., Galway, from August 7 to 10.
Once again there are three Gorey players in the squad with the selection of Corey Chambers, Conor Levingston and Mikey Quigley.
The Republic of Ireland squad will compete in the 1998 Elite group against Maccabi Haifa from Israel, Arvoll Il from Norway, Dnipro from Ukraine and Torquay United from England.
Once again this is a marvellous achievement for the three players, to maintain there places within the Ireland squad against stiff opposition from young players from all over the country. Hopefully they will have a very successful tournament in Galway, proudly representing their clubs, their county and their country.
