No joy for Fastnet against Arklow

ARKLOW UNITED 5 FASTNET ROVERS 0: FASTNET MADE the long journey to Arklow and put in an excellent first-half performance before eventually going down by five second-half goals to the home side.

Chloe Murphy and Jess Jacobs scored two each while Trish Raftery also scored to get Arklow off to a flying start.

Shelbourne 3, Corach Ramblers 1: Shelbourne got off to a winning start in Division 2A with a 3-1 win at home to Corach Ramblers.

Tracey Sinnott scored for Ramblers but goals from Angelina Westnott, Niamh Murphy and Lucy Sherwin saw the home side take all three points.

Tombrack United 0, Wexford Celtic 2: After a scoreless first-half, Wexford Celtic took all three points from their visit to Tombrack when knocking in two second-half goals.

Both sides had chances in the firsthalf but defences dominated. However, two goals from Lisa Marie Doyle saw Celtic secure victory.
