No joy for Wexford sides

FAI Junior Cup

There was no joy for the three Wexford representatives in the FAI Junior Cup fifth round on Sunday.

Corach Ramblers lost out 2-1 to Dublin side Balscadden F.C. at Danescastle. Niall Harney bagged a goal for Ramblers, but the visitors, who ply their trade in the A.U.L., won out after extra-time.

Shamrock Rovers travelled to face Kilmallock United and they also went to extra-time, before losing out 3-0.

Courtown Hibs also bowed out of the competition, suffering a 1-0 defeat against Ballynanty Rovers.
