Rampant Rossiter makes his mark for saints

Division 1: Mark Rossiter started the new year with a bang as his four goals helped St. Leonards to a 5-4 Division 1 win over bottom side Taghmon United on Sunday. Seán Ryan got the other goal for the winners as they thwarted a brave Taghmon effort.

Leaders Ferns United saw off St. Joseph's 6-2 in Kilmuckridge, while Aaron Lambert and Seán Pailing got the goals for Wexford Bohs as they beat St. Cormac's 2-1.

Division 2

North End United closed to within two points of leaders Moyne Rangers thanks to a 3-1 win over Shamrock Rovers on Sunday.

Leon Nolan-Cullen, Paul Murphy and Danny Fitzpatrick got the goals for the winners, with Willie Dobbs replying for Rovers.

Pacesetters Moyne suffered only their third loss of the season when they were beaten 2-1 by Stoney Rovers.

Larry Murphy netted the winning goal for Stoney, while Leon Stafford also got on the scoresheet for Rovers.

Division 2A

Division 2A leaders Cloughbawn were in seventh heaven on Sunday as they put Rosslare Strand to the sword.

The pacesetters ran out impressive 7-0 winners with Connal Flood netting a hat-trick and Gavin Murphy, Willie Murphy, Páidí Cullen and Billy Dunne adding a goal apiece.

Killenagh saw off Rathnure 4-1 with goals from Martin Flynn (two), Jack Doyle and Stephen Fynes.

Division 3

A Dylan Whitty goal was enough for Raheen to collect the three points as they edged out Ballymurn Celtic 1-0 on Sunday.

Division 3A

Leaders Wexford Albion began the year with a win as they chalked up a 3-1 victory in Campile on Sunday.

Kilmore United overcame Curracloe United 3-1 with goals from Darren Naughton, Jeff Kearney and Shane Goff.

The other two games in the division were both abandoned due to players suffering serious injuries.

Division 4

Rosslare Rangers scored the perfect ten on Sunday to move within two points of leaders Crossabeg.

Adrian Meyler and Rob Cousins both netted hat-tricks in their 10-0 win over bottom side Enniscorthy United, with Emmet Byrne adding a double and Cian Meyler and Michael Honey grabbing a goal apiece.

Corach Ramblers got the better of St. Leonards 4-3 with goals from Jon Reville (two), M.J. Doran and Niall Harney, with Larry Cahill (two) and Jack Culleton replying for the saints.

Aaron Walsh and Jesse Kells got the goals for Wexford Bohs in their 2-1 win away to Gorey Celtic.

Division 5

Castledockrell moved into second place in Division 5 after overcoming Cushinstown 5-2 on Sunday.

Mark O'Gorman helped himself to a hat-trick for the winners, with Ned Hendrick adding a double.

Elsewhere, Duncannon saw off Ballymurn 5-1 and Stoney Rovers beat St. Cormac's 3-2, while Killenagh and Camolin earned a point apiece after a 0-0 stalemate.
