'Spot' the difference for the Sky Blues

Premier Division

North End will be hard to stop in the Premier Division title race after cruising to a 5-0 midweek win over Rosslare Rangers.

Paul 'Spot' Murphy was the star of the show for the Sky Blues, netting a hat-trick for the Hollygrove crew, with Shane Dempsey also hitting the back of the net and ex-Kilmore United player Paul Murphy also getting in on the act.

Moyne Rangers suffered a blow to their ambitions of winning the title when they were beaten 1-0 by Gorey Rangers on the same evening, with Eric Quinn grabbing the all-important goal.

On Sunday, Shamrock Rovers kept their faint hopes of hanging on to their crown alive with a 1-0 win over Courtown, thanks to a John O'Connor strike.

Bunclody also collected three points by seeing off Kilmore United 2-1.
