Wexford quartet star for Aussie side Darwin Olympic
FOUR WEXFORD natives have played a pivotal part in a recent good run of victories for Australian side Darwin Olympic.
Duncannon trio Stuart Dunning and brothers Gary and Dean Molloy along with former All Blacks player Paddy McGuire helped the Northern Territory side to complete an historic League and Cup double during September.
They completed the feat with a 3-0 win against Hellenic in the Habitat Premier League grand final on September 18 in a game that saw Gary grab the opener from his midfield berth.
Dunning, a former Wexford Youths player and member of the Oscar Traynor Cup panel, lined out in midfield, while the younger of the Molloy brothers, Dean, was in defence alongside McGuire. Dean was also awarded the Most Valuable Player in the Northern Territory for the competition.
