Wexford Youths take on LSL Senior Division title contenders Firhouse Clover on Friday night in the FAI Cup.

Wexford Youths are on a three game winning streak having won 4-2 away to Longford & 2-0 at home to Shamrock Rovers in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division and 3-2 AET at home against Collinstown FC on Tuesday evening in the Leinster Senior Cup Semi Final.

Youths were pushed all the way against Collinstown in the LSC Semi Final. Fighting back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 deep into the second period of extra-time. Its a game that will be fondly remembered by the Youths faithful with Danny Ledwith having to go into goal following Matt Connor's dismissal and saving a penalty late in the game to send the match into extra-time. Eric Molloy's hat-trick eventually putting the Youths through to the LSC Final.

Manager Shane Keegan is well aware of the danger Firhouse Clover possess and will certainly not be taking them lightly.

'We have no doubt that this will be a really tough test, very similar to Tuesday night. Firhouse have had a fantastic season and are right in the hunt to win the league so they will deserve the utmost respect. But we're in good form ourselves at the minute and our lads confidence is really high.

'We'd love a good run in the FAI Cup this year. Getting to the latter stages would be great for the club and I think it would have a positive rather than a negative effect on our league campaign, which will always remain the priority.'

Youths rotated their squad for the Collinstown FC match with Matt Connor, Conor O'Keeffe, Paul Brennan, Owen McCormack, John Peare, Conor Whittle and Conor English all getting valuable game time and hoping to have impressed enough for another start against Firhouse Clover.

Wexford will again be without the injured Danny Furlong, Aidan Keenan, Lee Grace and Peter Higgins this weekend.

Kick Off is 8pm in Ferrycarrig Park.
